The concert was on Saturday 4th September at Holy Trinity Church, Bramley, in support of the League of Friends of Milford Hospital.
It was actually a recital (not sure what the difference is) and featured Maureen Galea on the piano, and celebrating Beethoven’s 250th year. The program consisted of:
Grande Sonate Pathetique Op13 (1798-99)
Fantasie, Op77 (1809)
Sonate, Op 109 (1820).
There was a short interval during which Jenny gave a short talk on the LoFs, what we do etc (more or less as described in the front sheet).
Maureen’s playing was superb and she clearly enjoys her playing as much as we enjoyed hearing her. Let me know if you want any more information about Maureen as there was a synopsis of her career in the program.
Holy Trinity are going to continue concerts eg Saturday 7th May 2022 with soprano Danae Eleni and a piano duet recital with Paul Guinery and Alan Newcombe date not yet fixed but I shall be queuing for tickets when announced.
